The Pet festival started in the year 2013. Now Pet festivals are held in Abu Dhabi, Dubai,Ras Al Khaima and Al Ain. The Dubai Pet Festival is visited by more than100,000petowners, most of them along with their pets.
This Competition is for pure breed dogs held in association with the World Kennel Union(WKU). Participants will have the chance to receive points for ChampionshiptitlesandAwards for Best in Breed and Best in Show categories. All participants will receiveparticipation certificates. Winners will also receive Medals and Trophies.
An International style Agility completion will be conducted for Agility TrainedDogsanduntrained dogs. The Competitions will be conducted by an experienced MC&Judge.Winners will receive Trophies and Certificates.
Dogs wearing latest trends in garments and accessories for dogs will be paradedontheramp at the fashion show. Owners and Dogs dressed in theme outfits will alsocompeteto win prizes.
Professional Dog Groomers will demonstrate grooming techniques for variousbreedsofdogs. Visitors can get advice and tips on dog grooming.
Demonstrations by various dog trainers will be displayed at the show. Obediencedemonstrations, security dogs’ demonstrations and companion dog’s demonstrationswill be presented. There will be competitions for Dog Obedience.
Training Experts will be available to give tips and advice on dog training.
Demonstrations by various K9 Units of Security or Police departments will bepresented.They will provide various duties the police dogs perform to detect crime andprotect thepeople.
A Cat show competition of International standards will be held at the Pet festival inaclosed enclosure. The show will be open to all breeds of cats including local cats. Theshow will be judged by Cat show judges from renowned cat associations. Winnerswillreceive trophies certificates and various other prizes
Veterinary experts on Dog Nutrition and Health will be present at the pet festival togiveadvice and tips on Pet food and health related topics at various intervals. Visitorscaninteract with them to benefit.
An area will be allocated for visitors and children to pet friendly farm animals like goats, rabbits,tortoise, birds etc and understand about their habits and habitats. People canenter thisbarricade area and pet the animals with the assistance of volunteers.
Few Animal Welfare groups will be present to give information about taking careof dogs.How to deal with street / stray dogs. How to find suitable dogs for individuals / family, etc.People can also see and adopt pet dogs & cats from here.
There will be many stalls by Pet product and Services providers. There will be bazaar typeareafor small time vendors too. The Mobile grooming Vans and Pet Transportation businesseswill also be participating.
A designated area will be allocated for Children to play. Various games, Slides, JumpingCastles, Clowns etc will be present.
Many stalls of food vendors will be made available at the venue. Food and refreshmentsfrom various countries will be available too.
